How to earn money at home with a computer? How to have time with our family while earning? These are some questions that we are asking often for us to be a better parent and at the same time earn a living to sustain our needs.

During this pandemic time, we need to survive in many ways. One important aspect is our financial needs. We will not be able to buy things we need if we don't have money. So, We need to find ways to earn money at home with our computer and gadgets.

Basic Furniture that you will need.

In selecting furniture for working at home, make sure to select a chair and table that will make you comfortable. An office good office chair is essential in working at home, for you to be able to think well, work well while sitting for several hours a day doing your home work or business. Getting back pains or body aches due to not having a comfortable chair will lessen your productivity and will weaken your momentum in working properly.

Selecting your work table is also important. Planning the equipments you will be using will be the first thing you need to consider. Your office supplies like paper, pen, stapler, paperclips and holders you need to put in your table. Computers, printers, phones, scanners places should also be considered.

Basic Computer Hardware that you will need.

In finding your computer or laptop, you should consider the speed of your CPU, memory, hard disk and other peripherals in order for your to accomplish your task. For most online businesses a Processor of I5 or I7, with 8gb of memory and 256GB of SSD hard drive is sufficient to do your online work or business. You also need to consider the network connection of your laptop or desktop. Video output whether VGA DE15 or HDMI should also be considered when you already have an existing monitor or TV for your video output. But currently, using HDMI is being used widely because of the HD capability for us to have a clear picture and video.

Internet Connection

One most important thing to consider in working at home or having an online business in your internet connection. In selecting your internet provider, it is best to survey or ask your neighbors and friends around your area which internet service provider they are using and which is giving them good quality of service. Some internet service provider gives a good service in a certain area and some doesn't. So it is best to use internet provider that is being widely used in your area. Having a portable broadband is also important in case your internet service provider connection have problems. We don't want to stop working if our internet connection is down. So, having a backup broadband using 4G/LTE is good to have around. You just need a WiFi dongle in case you will connect your desktop to your portable broadband or 4G/LTE internet.

Consider the Business or Work you like or love to do at home

Doing what you like or love is the best business or work to go into. At the start, you will encounter problems, hardship, questions and difficulties in doing your work or business. So, if you love what you are doing, this will give you the extra push you need in order for you to continue and overcome the obstacles and challenges that you will encounter.

If you love things related with cars, then do work or business related with cars. This will make you happy and will give you the energy to do your work well in order for you to achieve your goals.

My Short Story

I will tell you a short story about what I love and what I'm doing right now. I love to be with my family. Being an IT guy, I have clients which are corporate and small businesses. Giving my IT Services, I need to go onsite, check their network, repair their computers, have a meeting with Owners and Managers, give consultation to automate their business process. I love what I do. IT is my life. But when you became a father and have a family, you wanted to have time with your little ones. You wanted to see them grew up. You wanted to be able to guide them and teach them how to survive and be an independent person. Being in the IT field doesn't give me that freedom. I received calls anytime in a day. I receive calls even during nighttime. So, whenever there are IT problems, I need to attend them. Sometimes, I missed their school programs because of having a meeting. Sometimes I miss their sports activities in school because I need to attend to my work. So, questions are raised in my mind. Am I not being a good father to my kids? Is my work more important then my kids? Of course we all know that our kids are more important to us. But for us to be able to give them what they need, we need to work hard and earn money for us to be able to sustain all their needs.
